Re: J-10/FC-20
DSI stands for Divert-less supersonic intakes, it is a different breed of intakes which allows the air to flow into the engines without traditional variable geometric intakes. It is designed to for supersonic flight and IMHO should cause trouble to the engines while performing high G maneuvers. More importantly stealthy intakes like the serpentine intakes have moving parts.
Every fighter these days has a OLS and the best in the world has a range of 60kms(on the MiG-35) and can identify the targets only at 10kms ranges. The Chinese one must be having a range of 30kms and identification by sight only
Every aircraft has ECM and its but obvious if it has this system than it will also have its antenna and again this has nothing to do with RCS reduction
What has AESA got to do with RCS????
(The canards and intakes probably add around 1.5m2 of CS)*
Last pic again proves that the J-10 is a cheap F-16 copy which ever well off nation will discard. However for Chinese and pakis its the cutting edge technology.

Re: J-10/FC-20
But J10 for china is an indigenous fighter. Produced and used in china. The PLAAF would be more than happy to have cheap copies of F16 than not having any.
The videos of both JF17 and J10 don't show any good maneuverability. It almost feels as if either the engine doesn't have power or somehow the pilot is too scared to carry too many flips. China has a huge market for these planes with its air force. And china is also going to produce them in numbers.
Long time back, in early 90s. there was an editorial in Hindu or Indian Express. In that the editor talked about MiG engineers out of job, easger to come and work in India. But Indian dumb as u get them said - no, we want to employ our own engineers. The editorial said these engineers and experts then went to China. I don't know how true that article was but today I see china with J10 and India with LCA.

Re: J-10/FC-20
I just gave you an idea about the changes in J-10B I did not asked you tell me DSI stands for what or what other fighters have.
Just look at this bird how beautiful and deadliest.

Re: J-10/FC-20
J-10 to get CFT now
Recent Picture from CCTV broadcast shows wind tunnel testing of a J-10 model with conformal fuel tanks.earlier J-10B got DSi type intakes Same variant is likely to be ordered and induced in Pakistan air force , PAF wants to purchase Two Squadrons of this latest Chinese Jets .it is still not clear if CFT will be added to the latest J-10B variant or will see it in future Variants.
