As reported by Pratik in the news thread, RuAF is working on extensive modernisation. As suggested by the links:
* PAK-FA Carries out static tests
* Russia to develop new strategic bomber by 2017

RuAF is buying new Su35BM, PAK-FA & now strategic bombers. Is the beginning of return Russian air might?

Certainly yes, but it will take 10-15 years and it depends on how many PAK-FA's it buys and the success of MiG's 5th Gen program. Apparently the Russians are also reviving the An-124.
