Re: First Pakistan-made JF-17 fighter rolls out
JF-17 is nothing but a 3rd Gen airframe with cheap 4th gen avionics. Its only self protection system is a RWR and heat decoys

Re: First Pakistan-made JF-17 fighter rolls out
JF-17 does have a EW suit but it not the most potent in the world. It provides no self-protection aids, only a RWR, MAW and limited ground radar jamming. It will need to carry a external jamming pod to do. For a small fighter is not good as it reduces the availability of hard-points for missiles.

Yeah that is there.
And what about LCA, does it have an internal ECM suite or it also uses an external pod?

EWS of Tejas is named "Mayavi" and is collaboration between India and Israel. Israelis will be installing it on their JSF. It includes a radar warning receiver (RWR), self-protection jammer, laser warning system, missile approach warning system, and chaff/flare dispenser. The SPJ is capable of jamming both ground based radar as well as Fighter radars.(Don't know about AWACS) Its carried internally.

JF-17 has internal ECM suit which includes MAWS,RWR and CFD.
JF-17 carry jamming Pod on one of its hard point.
According to latest reports two more hard points will be added under the belly for carrying Pods.

Self protection Jamming pods cannot jam radars

I can understand your problemsmpratik wrote:Thats right its JV between Pak and China, JV doesn't mean equal partners.
You have no knowledge about aircrafts thats why you always argue on the small points
"JF-17 is not indigenous,Joint Venture and Equal partners, JF-17 ECM is not upto standards, etc etc

I not only know about fighter planes but also know a thing or two about human Psychology, and the above statement clearly shows your lack of incompetence to argue with me.
JF-17 is not indigenous is a correct statement.
ECM is not upto standard (has no standard) is also a true statement.
Joint Venture means equal partners is a incorrect statement. Its a accounting term which means activity taken by two or more co-venturers for a short or unlimited period of time. It doesn't mean that the co-venturers are equal partners, but they can be. In case of JF-17 i see know reason why both countries are equal partner. You can provide me with reasons to change my views.
