IAF will eat the crap out of them.

However the latest reports confirm that China has been co-operating closely with Russia's AGAT Research Institute, based in Moscow, and that AGAT is the source of the PL-12's essential active seeker. This joint development effort (perhaps with the name 'Project 129') has reportedly seen the supply of AGAT's 9B-1348 active-radar seeker (developed for the Vympel R-77, AA-12 'Adder') to China for integration with the Chinese-developed missile. Alternatively, technology from AGAT's 9B-1103M seeker family may be offered to China. Russia is also the source for the missile's inertial navigation system and datalink.

SD-10 uses R-77 seeker (thereofore on par with R-77) but a chinese motor, which gives it greater range than original R-77.

PL-12 is not active with PAF NOW, similarly it can be said that PAF has no missile in it's inventory to match R-77.
AIM-120 is just being given to PAF and it will the first time PAF will experience BVR tech.

Yes, thats true.
PAF till now has only AIM9 series AA missiles.

IAF will get the KS-172 or already has it, its is superior to any air to air missile in the world.

Lets face it the Pakistanis are good and probably even better at making world class "green" colored paint.

French authorities have given approval for industry to offer a Thales RC 400 airborne fire control radar and MBDA Mica air-to-air missiles to Pakistan, to be fitted on the JF-17 jet fighter built under license from China, a Pakistani official said.

“They are cleared for export negotiation,” the official said.

The sale has raised concerns of a potential breach of the EU military embargo on China.

Pakistan and France have drawn up a memorandum of understanding in which Islamabad promises not to release technology to China, the Pakistani official said. French industry submitted prices about a year and a half ago for the gear and these were no longer valid. With export clearance, commercial negotiations can take place.

The Délégation Générale pour l’Armement arms agency, MBDA and Thales declined comment.

Now we have a lot of options for JF-17 block-2.

Why what happened to SD-10/PL-12 and chinese FCR? No confidence in Chinese weapons or poor quality? It means the existing chinese combo is a dud and PAF is not satisfied with it (assuming PAF has ever had it's hands on SD-10 or it exists on paper only).

ya nw no-body have any doubt on jf-17........jf-17 is 100% chinees.......

France approved the sale now its our choice to buy it or not Chinese are also working on AESA Radar for JF-17.
You can say RC-400 and Chinese AESA both are competitors for JF-17 block-2.

This is bad news for India if true I have read somewhere that MBDA's will outperform even the AMRAAM's and R-77's. I just hope India gets its hands on similar missiles
