Defence forum can be more comprehensive but fighter planes is a dedicated forum for all.

Defense Forum will be broader and more encompassing. It will also invite more participation. I also noticed that most of the posters here have good knowledge about the army and navy as well. So i suggest you broaden the scope and make it a defense forum.

I think so too.
And who wants 3-4 forums when work can be done in by one forum.
That is why I am looking for opinion of others.

@Rohan
Well it would change to more of Indian defense.

What I have seen is that people gel good with people from around. Fighter planes forum would make more sense if people from abroad take active participation. Otherwise an Indian Defence forum is good.

There are a lot of things we can talk about.
Or what alternativly can be done is open a new Def forum.

What say you?

I am for just Fighter planes cuz there are many forums who deal with all the three branches where as very few dedicated forums. Personally i have very little knowledge about army and navy (apart from there aviation branches).

Don't bite off more than you can chew . The broader you scope a forum , the more members & traffic is would generate , which will lead to moderating overheads , site maintenance overheads . Of course , should the members/traffic not grow wider as expected with a broader defence forum , those sections will simply lie unused . You may get moderators to help , but initially being a new forum , you will have to drive the forum onward to maintain interest . Does your job and daily routine permit such commitment ?

Second , choose you specialization . Do you really have the interest , time and energy to drive an all-services forum ? I understand you have a passion for military aviation , do other arms and equipment interest you nearly as much , to devote time and money running the forum ? Don't just spread your focus wide to rival other forums which encompass all defence services .
